Lesson 6: How to Use Google Photos
How to Use Google Photos
Like all Google Workspace apps, Google Photos allows you to store photos for free.
One of Google Photos most valuable features is it gives you the ability to backup your smartphone photos from your iPhone or your Android. Even better, you can back those images up and easily access them from other devices, including your computer or tablet.
When you backup your photos to Google Photos, you don’t have to worry about running out of space on your phone. Because it organizes your photos by date, it also helps you keep your photos organized. You can even create albums of your favorite photos or special events.

Searching Google Photos
A really helpful feature is the search function. In Google Photos, you enter a word like dog into the search bar and it will pull up any photo that includes a dog in it. It also uses facial recognition to learn what the people you take pictures of most look like and identify them in other pictures.
Sharing Google Photos
Google Photos is great for sharing and collaborating. You can create albums of your favorite photos and share them with other people. You can even create shared albums where others can contribute their own photos, so they’re all in the same place. Plus, you can order prints, photo books, and collages directly through Google Photos.
